LES TROIS JOURS DE CASTELIERS IS FIVE YEARS OLD !
From March 4th to 7th, 2010, the festival LES TROIS JOURS DE CASTELIERS will celebrate its fifth anniversary. Organized in collaboration with the borough of Outremont, the festival welcomes puppeteers from France, Spain, the United States, Japan, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec to the magnificent Théâtre Outremont. On the program is a rich selection of remarkable shows, for families and adults, from both renowned and newly emerging companies, by puppeteers who have left their mark on our brief history and others who are on tour for the first time in Canada. Also featured: short pieces, installations, an exhibition, a round table, a workshop and films.
A tangible expression of the effervescence and diversity of current trends in the art of puppetry, the 2010 festival attests to Casteliers' commitment to promote new productions. This year’s programming also highlights wood and paper, primary materials, since the dawn of time, in the hands of the puppeteers.
